🏠 Bright Danes of Texas Guardian Program
At Bright Danes of Texas, our Guardian Program is designed to ensure that each of our Great Danes enjoys the highest quality of life in a loving home environment.
This program is a partnership between our program and select families. As a guardian, you will raise one of our top-quality puppies or adult dogs as a cherished family companion, while we retain breeding rights for a designated period.
The dog lives with you full-time as your pet. Once their breeding career is complete (typically around 5–6 years of age), the dog will be spayed or neutered and full ownership is transferred to you permanently.
⸻
💰 Program Details & Costs
• The guardian family purchases the dog at the current pet price.
• Bright Danes of Texas covers:
• All breeding-related expenses
• Required health testing prior to program participation
Health Testing Outcomes:
• If the dog does not pass required health testing:
• The breeding agreement is void
• The guardian is responsible for spay/neuter
• Full ownership transfers to the guardian at that time
• If the dog passes all health testing:
• The dog may be used for breeding purposes
• We will coordinate access for testing and breeding as needed
Breeding Schedule:
• Typically 2–3 times per year
• Retirement occurs around age 5–6
• Spay/neuter is covered by the breeder if the dog participates in the program
Compensation:
• Guardian families receive $500 per successful litter produced
⸻
